Exhibitor Information

Overview Fort Wayne Area Home Schools’ Annual Expo has been blessed to have both great vendors and attendance over the past 33 years. We are grateful for our growing “family of exhibitors” who have contributed to this success. Each May, homeschoolers from Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio look forward to shopping at our Expo for curriculum and resource materials in preparation for the coming school year. We invite you to fill out the enclosed
application if you are interested in selling, taking orders, and/or providing catalogs or brochures.

Exhibit Space Vendors are assigned exhibit space on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibit spaces are 10 ft. x 10 ft. spaces. Each includes one eight-foot table and two chairs. NO table covering or skirting is provided. An ID sign will be placed on an eight-foot high curtain at the back of the space. Exhibitors may bring other tables or display racks as long as they fit within the designated booth area. No signage will be allowed above the eight-foot curtain.

Resource Packets Resource Packets Advertising resource packets will be prepared “in-house” and distributed to each family attending the Expo. This is an excellent way to place your materials into the hands of those most interested in your products. The cost for inserting your free catalogs and brochures into these packets is $30.00, and payment is due by May 1, 2018. Send 500 copies of your materials to the address below by May 2, 2018. Please send the full 500 pieces, as those who attend the Expo are disappointed with partial packets, and you will lose
advertising potential.

Deadlines Paid applications must be in by February 1, 2018, if you wish to qualify for the discount. All booth space requests must be received and paid for no later than April 1, 2018. Resource packet material must be received by May 2, 2018.

Exhibit Materials Only homeschool-related materials are permitted to be exhibited. Exhibitors must include a brochure or describe products/services on the enclosed application form, including the names of major lines or publishers. (We get MANY questions from parents who ask where they can find a particular product. We would like to be able to direct them to your booth.) All exhibits must be acceptable to Christian homeschooling parents. The
FWAHS Board of Directors reserves the right to have any materials removed from an exhibit which it feels are not in the best interest of the Resource Expo or refuse any exhibitor.


Door Prizes Many Expo attendees look forward to door prize drawings held throughout the day. Your gift certificates or products would be appreciated. They may be sent ahead or brought to the Expo by your representative. Please label each door prize with your company name or business card.
 

Workshops Tentative planning includes several workshops presented Saturday by invited speakers who will address the how-to’s of various academic subjects. Vendor workshops are available on a limited basis, only ten available; the cost will be $45.00 for a 50-minute workshop. The rooms hold up to 60 people. Vendor workshop times will coincide with all other workshops. FWAHS will select the ten workshops from all of the requests. If your workshop is not selected, your money will be refunded.

 

Taxes and Licensing All vendors are responsible for their own licensing and for the collection and payment of taxes on all sales. Indiana sales tax is 7%.

 

Food A fixed concession stand and a roaming cart will be open in the exhibit hall and many fast food restaurants are located in the area.

Children under the age of twelve must be with an adult and supervised at all times.

 

Confirmation Our goal is to send confirmation letters or e-mails to all accepted vendors within two weeks of receiving paid applications.
